Meet the London duo creating moody music filled with everyday sounds.
Lung Dart use reverb in the same way a boulanger folds butter into croissant dough and the results are just as delicious.
The duo have released a video that shows them at work in Copenhagen, recording the kind of everyday sounds that also end up on their dreamy tracks – things like the bellowing wind coming off the Leicestershire hills, the bowels of Wembley Stadium at 4am and broken machinery.
“We wanted the freedom to explore as many musical directions as we could representing both the abundance of material at our fingertips, whilst also illustrating the sense of claustrophobia, detachment and fickleness that can easily coincide when flicking between 100 tabs on your screen or finding yourself 2 hours deep into a YouTube rabbit hole.”
‘Totem’, the track in the video, is taken from their forthcoming mini-album, ‘As I Lay Drying’, which is being released on 2 September 2016 via PRAH Recordings. I can’t wait.
