The largest pawnshop in the USA’s Midwest opened yesterday boasting a $4 million gun range and firearms retail store, tattoo shop and 24-hour live rock radio station.
Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry, the 70,000-square-foot destination in South Dakota, also includes a concert venue, box office, foundry, tattoo shop and “free ice water”.
“This is the culmination of a lifelong dream to bring all the things I love to my home town,” said founder and CEO Chuck Brennan – who also announced the in-house radio station would be called the Guns, Gold & Rock N Roll Radio Network.
The serial entrepreneur and businessman’s LinkedIn page claims Brennan started his first small business at school.
He later opened rock’n roll bar The Blitz Ballroom aged 21, after a stint at CitiBank, making him the youngest person ever to hold a liquor license in the state of Minnesota.
Brennan now owns Dollar Loan Center and founded the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy in Sioux Falls.
“Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry is an entertainment, business and tourism destination for people around the world,” said Brennan.
“From live concerts, shopping and shooting to television, radio and even racing, you’ll always have a great time at Badlands.”
